Hey everyone. I wanted to let you guys know that I will be returning back to the States this week. Things aren't exactly like I thought they would be here. There were several things that made me decide to come back after 3 weeks, but the main one is that getting work is more difficult then I originally planned and that has made me change my plans. I was able to see a lot of the North Island, but won't make it to the South Island. I still saw and did some interesting things while in New Zealand and right now I don't regret my choice to come home. Thanks for everyone who followed my blog and hope you enjoyed my pictures of New Zealand. Take care and I'll see everyone back home. -Alex-

New Zealand Birds

Hey everyone. Thought that I would post some pictures of some birds that are found in New Zealand. One of the birds is a one leg Kiwi. Another is a harrier hawk, but I can't recall what the last bird is called.

Hahei Beach and Cathedral Cove

Hey. Here are some pictures of Hahei Beach as well as some pictures of Cathedral Cove. Getting to Cathedral Cove is actually a little difficult. The hike to it took me about a half a hour or so.

Auckland War Memorial Museum

Yesterday afternoon I went to the Auckland War Memorial Museum. It was an interesting place and I took some pictures while I was there. Well, this is my last day in Auckland before I head to the bay of islands for a while. I probably won't get to update my blog for a few days so check back this weekend for an update.

Sky Tower

This morning I went to Sky Tower, which is the tallest building in the southern hemisphere. Here are some pictures from inside it. I only have so much time on the computer and its takes a while to upload pictures onto the blog so here are a few, but I have many more. (Click on the pictures for a larger view) On Friday morning I leave Auckland for Paihia.
